Evaluate performance of APEX Pedestrian Detection algorithm

Customer would like to evaluate performance of APEX Pedestrian Detection algorithm and found input data source is gdc_pd_640x480.y.
1. How to create it (gdc_pd_640x480.y)?
2. How to read input from video file like .avi or .mp4?
3. How to read from image sensor? We saw gdc_pd_image_sensor_task.cpp but don't know how to enable it.
