'Ignoring Packet Error' Message

Hello Team,

My customer used S32DS for power v1.1, P&E Multilink, to download project to S32R.

Building is successful with no error, but when entering Debug, there keeps showing 'Ignoring Packet Error, continue...' message and cannot enter debug.

Here attached Console Log and Screenshot. Would anyone help to advice this error? Thanks a lot.

Hello Tony,

Thanks for the report,

"Ignoring Packet Error" is a known issue that may occur due to timeouts in communication between GDB client and server.

If GDB server (that directly communicates with target MCU) is busy (e.g. by erasing or programming) it may not respond to the client's "keep-alive" packets and this error is displayed into the console. This may not cause any problems.

Could you possibly try to wait few more minutes? Does it finish programming and debug session is successfully started or it gets permanently stuck?

Can you try Debug_RAM configuration - it should build and load the elf into RAM instead of flash.

Can you share your project or all the .elf files at least if it does not help?

Following your hint, this issue has been solved. We find there is address overlapped in flash link file of Z7 & Z4 cores.
