Unable to Add Component in S32DS ARM 2.2, menu option disabled, "Predecessor Expert" not working?

I'm working through the following BCC example for S32K144-EVB

Battery Cell Controller (BCC) software driver for MC33771C
Sec 4.4 Creating a new project with BCC SW driver

However, I'm not able to get "Processor Expert" functionality to work.

Trying to add the "lpspi" component to the project, the context menu option is disabled, see below, and there are not "Components" nodes on the tree in Project Explorer as there are in S32S for ARM 2.0:

All S32DS updates are applied, and all available S32 Design Studio components are installed:

What could I be missing, that components can't be added to the project?

I was able to see the Components Library in a new project, but only after noticing and clicking on the "Components Library" tab to make it visible. Until then, the menu option Window --> Show View --> Components appears to not do anything. One has to look carefully, it the tab was there, but not easy to see. I suggest making the tab active after the user tries to make it visible with using the menu click sequence below, otherwise, it is hard to understand what, if anything, happened.
