S32DS Install Fail

S32DS_ARM_Win32_v2.2 Install Anywhere error

Hi,

I failed installs of the S32DS_ARM_Win32_v2.2, on my PC.

The window asking for activation code is not opening in his case, the installation is just falling back and uninstalling itself.

I run the installer using admin rights.

Attached is the last installation log failure: - it doesn't say much about the cause:

Install Uninstaller: S32 Design Studio for ARM Version 2.2(Install All Uninstaller Components)
Status: ERROR
Additional Notes: ERROR - Error writing LaunchAnywhere components (Access Denied)

Any ideas of what to try next are welcome!

In the process of installing，show in the picture，the popup window of activation code couldn't popup and rolled back.What is the problem?

1) You indicated that you run the installer using admin rights. The installation should be conducted from a user account that is part of the administrative rights group, this does NOT mean to execute the installer using the option 'Run As Administrator'. Please confirm that you are meeting this requirement apropriately.

2) If the above admin rights are confirmed, then please check the document: https://community.nxp.com/docs/DOC-345238 The solution here may work for your issue.

Please reply back with your response on the 2 suggestions above.

Hello Mike,

1. I enable my Administrator accout and signed in this accout ,then reinstall the error is the same.

In my install log,there is not this error, anyway I delete 'C:\ProgramData\FLEXNet' and reinstall.The error is also the same.

Any other solution except reinstalling WIN10?

After further analysis, your issue is cause by missing Microsoft Visual C++ and 2013 Redistributables from Microsoft website. This is supposed to be installed when S32 Design Studio is installed, but it seems it must be failing for some reason. Perhaps you could try to install directly from Microsoft and see if it installs, or if it fails perhaps you can see the reason.

Please try this and let us know if you are successful in completing the S32 Design Studio installation.

I download the Microsoft Visual C++ 2013 Redistributalbe from Microsoft websit. When installing it,it indicated I had installed it.

Then reinstall s32ds,the error is the same.

Please check that both 32- and 64-bit redistributables packages are installed. When you get the prompt, please use the 'Repair' button to reinstall.

The two vision packages are installed. The error is the same. I decided use IAR as my ide.

Our apologies for the delay in reply. Our experts with the InstallAnywhere tool were on national holidays. They have investigated further and believe this may be similar to another issue which was recently reported and solved. The solution was to start the server service shown below. Could you please check it and see if this resolves the issue?

Thank you for posting the video, this is very helpful. I see that the prompt to install MS Visual C is no longer appearing. Could you please send an updated installation log file? It could provide a new clue regarding the issue, if the contents are different than previous.

The new log appears to be same as previous, so no new details are to be learned from it.

I can assure you that this is not a usual type of problem. Most of the few problems encountered by our users are solved by the steps I shared with you earlier.

Before installing S32 Design Studio, was your PC a fresh installation of the Windows OS? It is possible that some services are missing which we would normally expect to already be installed.

Our experts have suggested that it might be necessary to perform an investigation using the tool 'dependency walker'. Please see the following steps:

You can suggest to investigate the problematic DLL with 32-bit DW:
