The QSPI0 is connected to this onboard serial flash. Reading from the Flash via the AHB works fine.
As soon as a flash area is used for the logical or physical address in the OVERLAY_REGION, the overlay no longer works.
Question: Is an overlay even possible with the serial Hyperflash?

Setup:
S32Z270-DC
S32ZE Real Time Drivers AUTOSAR R21-11 Version 2.0.1

Thanks

Hi,

Are there any examples for how to create overlays for S32Z270 ?
I have configured the OMU, but the overlay still does not work and the original flash value remains unchanged.

Regards！

#S32Z270

I am glad the document I shared was useful. About using the serial hyper flash of the S32Z270-DC, my knowledge of the OMU module is very limited. However, I found an example internally that might help you. I will contact you privately and let you know how to access it.

Thanks

Hello @jonas304,

I have receive information from the internal team, basically it is not possible to overlay with the HyperFlash, here are the details:

"

According to the RTU diagram, the OMU only takes effect for modules connected to RTUF_NIC_D. So it does not support configuring an overlay with the Hyper Flash.

We also tested remapping Hyper Flash to SRAM through OMU on our side and it did not take effect.

Page 201, S32Z2 Reference Manual, Rev. 5, 2025-01-28:

"

If this information solved your questions please select this answer as an accepted solution,

Thanks!
