S32 Design StudioのトピックGetting started with S32DS for Power 2.1 + MPC5777CEVB

Hello,

As suggested in the title, I have just installed S32DS to work with a MPC5777CEVB, which I have been successfully using with the Green Hills compiler suite and probe V4.

In my first glance at the documentation, I got a bit confused about the debugging environment: what are the possibilities for connecting the IDE to the board? I (think I) understood I would be able to do this using either an USB Multilink probe or a Lauterbach probe, and I would like to know if it is possible to use the Green Hills probe I already own or a simple USB connection (even if with reduced debugging capabilities).

Thanks,

Ricardo

Hi,

you need to use external JTAG debugger, simple USB cable connection is not possible here.

It does not seems this version of S32DS would have support for GHS debugger.

Release notes only mentions
- PEMicro debugger support (P&E Multilink/Cyclone/OpenSDA)
- Lauterbach Trace32 debugger support
- iSYSTEM debugger support
- PLS debugger support

and

- Green Hills compiler support

BR, Petr
