As the document says need an external probe to coonect MCU with the computer,

Would like to know the importance of open sda in the Evaluation board of (s32k3x8evb-q289)

Do I need an external debugger inorder to flash the code into the target processor.

Currently Iam connecting the received USB CABLE inorder to connect .(one end into the open sda and other into my pc).

OpenSDA provides a bridge between your computer (or other USB hosts) and the embedded target processor, which can be used for debugging, flash programming, and serial communication, all over a simple USB cable.

If you are using an EVB it is not necessary to use an external debugger to flash programming, unless you want it or required it.
