T1042 processor JTAG ISSUE

Hi All

We have T1042 processor , currently we have populated the resistor ,capacitor and IC related to only power supply & JTAG . We are able to power it on but when on connecting JTAG with code warrior we are facing issue

Jtag leds are ok but configuration are not ok . Moment we are running code program with code warrior .We get the error

Error launching t1042-core 00_SRAM _T1042_Connect

CCSProtocolPlugin: Failed to correctly configure the JTAG chain

On hardware level we have checked

1. Power supply working

2. jtag reset is working

3. Jtag connection are varified

Kindly provide the answer for the same .

Hi @utkarsh

It seems that there is no valid RCW on the target board.

Please refer to "Table 4-12. Hard-Coded RCW Options" in T1042 Reference Manual to configure the your custom board as hard-coded RCW.

Further investigation, I found something weird.

On giving CCS command

source IPCODE.tcl or scanboard

It did not received the JTAG IDCode .Looks like processor itself didn't recognized.

Does it still required RCW configuration,since the processor itself not recognized.

Where all areas I can look ??

Based on hardware design against AN4825 changes are made but still no success. .

Please find the attached RCW.txt file

Hardcoded RCW is 0x9E wrt RCW value are changed (only jtag configuration settings changed)

We are trying to detect processor in the JTAG chain

Also attached the scanboard command screenshot, not able to detected processor IDcode .

More to add on

On our processor we have mounted only power supply related components (IC, resistor ,etc) which is working.

JTAG related components also mounted on the hardware (Hardcoded RCW is 0x9E)

Now when we are running code warrior projects through SRAM (since DDR is not mounted on Hardware), we are getting Pop up ERROR " FAILED to configure JTAG chain "

RCW file have attached in my earlier post & made changes for JTAG. i.e. 0x9E

Is it ok to keep the RCW default values for other peripherals since on the board other than JTAG there is nothing else mounted.
