&lt;P&gt;the dbfdoa is just an example for a particular use-case involving 128peaks&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;it's possible to calculate more but of course requires more processing time.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;The example is provided as reference and can be extended as needed. please refer to RSDK user manual for details on functions.&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;No there is not other explanation.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Furthermore,&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Changing the number of beams is complicated - you would need to know about radar algorithms and DSP to do this.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;In general terms you need to generate new steering vector with more beams.&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;I am not able to give you more information on this.&lt;/P&gt;
