      <title>PRBS on MAC layer</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I am having P5040ds processor and having a marvel switch on my board through MAC-MAC&amp;nbsp; SGMII connection. We are having some issue in communication between processor and switch.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The processor is configured on 1G fixed link SGMII mode and same setting is done on switch.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;To debug the issue, we need to run PRBS on processor fm1-gb0 port, kindly provide related documentation / registers to do the same.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Also Is there any procedure to enable remote loopback on fm1-gb0 MAC?&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;P5040 does not have a built in PRBS generation and checking. but customer can use an external loop card/board (connecting the RX to TX) and generate any test sequence (including a test that would be similar/same as pseudorandom binary sequence) and check it in the test SW.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hello,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;1. Is there support for remote MAC loopback for dTSEC ?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;2. In the DPAARM , it is mentioned that "&lt;EM&gt;Carrier extend symbols in full duplex mode are not supported&lt;/EM&gt;", does it mean that Carrier extend symbol is supported in half duplex mode?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;3. No register could be found in RM as well as DPAARM for carrier extension. Do let us know the register configuration to enable/disable the carrier extend symbol.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Regards&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Ram&lt;/P&gt;</description>
