The Probe tip you mentionned is not for a 10 pins BDM PowerQUICC I, it is for PowerQUICC II and more. I did not found any, so that is why i am looking at least for a schematics to be able to build a custom one.

Please let me know if there is a probe tip speciffically for the PowerQUICC I ? If not provide a schematics.

Thanks

I have a CodeWarrior TAP programmer, which is supposed to support the PowerQUICC Processor MPC885, as listed here:

https://www.nxp.com/design/software/development-software/codewarrior-development-tools/run-control-d...

However there is no probe tip suggested for this specific Processor. Which (maybe obsolete) probe Tip should be used ? Or, please provide the complete 30 pins to 10 pins pinout so that i can make a custom probe tip.

Mike

You need to use USB TAP for PowerQUICC® I.

Please refer to https://www.nxp.com/design/software/development-software/codewarrior-development-tools/codewarrior-legacy/usb-tap-for-powerquicc-i:USBTAP_PQ1

Unfortunately this obsolete USB TAP is no longer available. That is why i am hoping that the newer USB TAP would work since MPC885 is listed in its supported devices.

I need a CW TAP probe tip (or a schematics to build it) that would be compatible with MPC8xx processors, its a 10 pins BDM interface identical to the one on page 27 the USB TAP for PowerQUICC I User guide:

https://www.nxp.com/docs/en/user-guide/CWH-UTP-UG.pdf

Thanks
