Hi,

kindly let me know the compatibility of CWH-UTP-PPCD-HE USB TAP to MPC8308CVMAFDA processor with CWH-CTP-COP-YE probe tip.

Hello VENKI N,

CodeWarrior TAP is compatible with MPC8308, and you need to use CodeWarrior 8.8 for this processor.

If the user wants to use CodeWarrior TAP in CodeWarrior 8.8, Patch 8.8.6 needs to downloaded and installed, please download the Patch from

http://www.freescale.com/webapp/sps/site/prod_summary.jsp?code=CW-POWER-NETWORKING&fpsp=1&tab=Design_Tools_Tab#downloads, and click Product Download-> Select Windows professional edition->click Agreement to get Patch 8.8.6.

Hello VENKI N,

It seems that I didn't provide the exact information previously.

CodeWarrior TAP is the replacement of previous products USB TAP, USB TAP for MPC83xx is not manufactured any more.

Currently USB TAP(CWH-UTP-PPCD-HE) is only used for DPI Power Architecture(MPC8xx).

For MPC8308 you need to purchase CodeWarrior TAP(CWH-CTP-BASE-HE) with probe CWH-CTP-COP-YE.
