Hello Everyone,

Greetings for the day...!!!!

I am working on IMX8M Plus Application Processor and working to enable LVDS display from the Cortex-M7 core. Below are some queries , need your inputs for the progress and understanding.

Available details:

1) Processor : IMX8ML8xxxKZ

2) SDK : SDK_2_14_0_MIMX8ML8xxxKZ

3) Compiler & debugging using GCC ARM toolchain 12.2Rel1.

Queries

a) Is it possible to bring up LVDS from Cortex-M7.Because we did not found any driver for using LVDS. b) Not able to integrated SDK to MCUXpresso IDE , mentioned as VS code compatible can u provide some inputs on implementation using VS Code.

Hi Ganesh. I do not see any reasons why you cannot bring up a LVDS display on cortex m7 core as you should be able to access the display interface[via AXI-AHB switch fabric] which is responsible for configuring the LVDS. You might not find support for that specifically in MCUexpresso SDK.

However one Question - Is there any specific reason why you want to bring up LVDS display on cortex m7? cortex m7 core on IMX8M Plus is supposed to have low power and real time applications.

Hi Gaurav ,
Referring to the Architecture , we were on the same page to bring up LVDS interface from M7 ,Since there was no example related to LVDS enabling from cortex-M7 in IMX8M Plus, this was our customized product, so we were facing this problem.
