&lt;P&gt;that's no problem. It's expected behavior. Here is the explanation from documentation of system basis chip FS65xx:&lt;/P&gt;

      <title>Fault LED is on MPC5775E</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Fault led is on when my power supply is connected. I am not using the powersupply came with the Evaluation Board as it is not suitable for UK. I need a converter for it. Do you think it is the power supply that is causing the problem as LED is not blinking when example project is downloaded.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
