HugeTLB is supported on recent 32-bit mpc85xx/QorIQ kernels, as long as you have large physical address support enabled.

Thanks - what about without large phys address (i.e. only 32-bit addressing). My understanding is that the MMU code is different and unsupported. Anyone ever try it or back-port it to a strictly 32-bit machine?

Thanks,

Paul

It is not supported if large physical address support is turned off. There should be no problem enabling large physical address support on any mpc85xx/QorIQ chip, even if the chip doesn't support 36-bit physical. It's about Linux's internal data structures, not the hardware.
