P1010-RDB won't boot from norflash

I can't get it to boot from norflash but it boots up fine from nandflash.

I set the switches on my board to the following to get it to boot from the norflash but my console doesn't show anything.

The switches are set to the following:

SW4[1-4]: 1111

SW6[4]: 0

From what I can gather from the documentation, it is possible that SW6[4] is overridden by I2C1.

Am I missing something or is it due to I2C1?

Hello Sothavy,

For P1010RDB-PA

• SW4[1:4] = 1111 and SW6[4] = 0 for 16-bit NOR Flash boot.

• SW4[1:4] = 1011 and SW6[4] = 0 for 8-bit NOR Flash boot.

• u-boot start address of default bank is 0xeff80000.

• u-boot start address of alternate bank is 0xeef80000

You could use the following command to switch from NAND to NOR boot.

=> i2c dev 0

=> i2c mw 18 1 f1

=> i2c mw 18 3 f0

=> mw.b ffb00011 0

=> mw.b ffb00014 2

=> mw.b ffb00015 5

=> mw.b ffb00016 3

=> mw.b ffb00017 f

=> reset

For P1010RDB-PB

SW4[1:4]= 1111 and SW3[3:4]= 00 for NOR boot
