    <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;I am looking for information about using the SPE (Signal Processing Extensions) instructions in&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;a P1022 processor.&amp;nbsp; The compiler (gcc) in Qoriq Yocto 1.6 seems capable of generating the&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;instructions, and they do work, but beyond the SPEPIM reference manual I haven't been able&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;to find much other support.&amp;nbsp; Are there libraries available?&amp;nbsp; We are mostly interested in audio&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;processing, i.e. seeing if we can handle some of the tasks currently done by dedicated DSP&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;chips.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Has anyone had much luck doing this?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks in Advance&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Cary O'Brien&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
