hi yipingwang! Thank you, where can i find the atf directory? I do not have access to the uboot source code right now as i am using the uboot version preinstalled on the LS1028A flash memory

Hi it's me again! I am using the LS1028A RDB UART 1 port to load an app via uboot and to recieve back the data sent by my application. Overnight the UART 1 stopped working, redirecting the app outputs on UART 2 works if i load the app by JTAG on OCRAM but i cannot communicate to uboot via UART 2 as it sends and recieves signals only trough UART 1. I would like to know if there could be a software workaround to redirect UART 1 signals on UART 2 peripheral, if it's possible that the problem is software knowing that the UART 1 port stays completely silent whitout showing even the uboot boot logs and if it's hardware what the most likely causes could be and what workarounds might be employed to solve it. Thank you again!

You need to modify and rebuild atf and u-boot source code to redirect UART1 to UART2.

In atf, plat/nxp/soc-ls1028a/include/soc.h,

#define NXP_CONSOLE_ADDR        NXP_UART_ADDR

modify to

#define NXP_CONSOLE_ADDR        NXP_UART1_ADDR

In u-boot source code, please add the following line in configs/ls1028ardb_tfa_defconfig

CONFIG_CONS_INDEX=2

Then rebuild u-boot and atf source code to generate new atf images and program them to the target board.
