We have MIMXRT1170-EVk Evaluation board.We configured LPSPI1 sdk polling master transfer b2b cm7 core using external Jtag debugger but we are unable to the sck on evalution board.

same code is working with usb on board debugger and able to see the sck.

Request to provide the solution for lpspi sdk code for external jtag debugger.We are using mcxpresso IDE and debugger PE micro.

Thank you so much for your interest in our products and for using our community.

I did a test on my side using the PE debugger with the SDK demo "evkbmimxrt1170_lpspi_polling_b2b_transfer_master_cm7", and I have test that it can run successfully. Please note that no code modifications were made.

IDE: MCUXpresso IDE 25.06
SDK: 25.12
Debugger: PE

I recommend that you first check the versions of your IDE and SDK to ensure they match .

Additionally, please use the default SDK debug interface(SWD). If you intend to use the JTAG interface, please be note that hardware modifications to the development board are required.

Thank you for your response,We will check the IDE: MCUXpresso IDE ,SDK: Version.
We are using MIMXRT1170-EVK eval board for our code development.We used default SDK debug interface(SWD)As per EVK Board Hardware User’s Guide we removed the resistors R187, R208, R195, and R78.
We are using external JTAG debugger make PE Micro for that purpose in MIMXRT1170-EVK board J5,J6,J7 and J8 Jumpers also removed to isolate the usb debugger frre link.
External JTAG debugger is working with demo led blink example code but LPSPI and UART interfaces are not working.
We tried LPSPI1 sdk example code using pins GPIO_AD_28,GPIO_AD_29,GPIO_AD_30 & GPIO_AD_31 board slave IC U27.
Request to provide the solution.

Thanks for your updated information.

1: Please check whether your board is MIMXRT1170-EVK or MIMXRT1170-EVKB board.

If you are using SWD interface, you do not need to modify this hardware.

I believe you meant JP5, JP6, JP7, correct?
If so, please note that JP5 need remain connected.

3: I did a test on my side, and I can debug and print successfully using PE Micro.

Unfortunately, we do not provide an SDK example for this.

Our Evaluation board is MIMXRT1170-EVK.

MCUXPRESSO IDE SWD is available but How to select JTAG option .Please suggest.

We are interested to code debug through external JTAG using PE micro ,we do not connect the USB debugger.

In MIMXRT1170-EVK board J5,J6,J7 and J8 Jumpers is mentioned in evaluation schematics page no. 26. We removed all jumpers for external jtag our led blinky example code is working.If J5 is connect means it is connected to free link IC U24A.

can you send any lpspi tested full working code in MIMXRT1170-EVK using external JTAG debugger with out connect to USB debugger (J11).
