EB tresos issue - module cannot be installed

Hi all,

I have a problem with EB tresos, hope someone can give some hints. Thank you in advance.

I want to open a project on EB, the EB version i am using is 27.1.0. When I tried to open the module, an error pop up as below, it says Eth_43_PFE_TS_T40D11M12I0R0 is not installed:

I understanding when installing the EB tresos, I should link to the RTD folder, I indeed did:

Besides, I also cope paste the Eth_43_PFE_TS_T40D11M12I0R0 to RTD folder and EB plugins folder:

All the above actions make no difference, the error stays.

Do I miss some setup?

Sorry for the late reply. everything seems to be correct as you mentioned. Please help me with the following test:

Can you try opening one of the examples present in the PFE-DRV_S32G_M7_MCAL_1.2.0.\example_application folder? to check if you can open those projects without problems.
Remove the link file and use only the copied plugins in the Tresos directory. The S32G MCAL Driver Release Notes for version 1.2.0 mention the installation methods as mutually exclusive:

Let me know if you can open the example projects or if removing the link file changes de behavior for your project.

Let me answer the result one by one.

I also downloaded PFE-DRV_S32G_M7_MCAL_1.4.0 and tried opening one of the example projects in PFE-DRV_S32G_M7_MCAL_1.4.0, it works, either the Eth module is in NXP/RTD folder or in EB/tresos/plugins folder, both ways can open the project without any problems.

Sorry for the late reply. I tried to reproduce the issue on my side, however I was not able to do so. I copied the plugins and created the link file, I also copied the two PFE drivers versions you are using, 1.2.0 and 1.4.0. Can you run the following powershell command in C:\EB\tresos27\plugins andC:\NXP\SW32G_RTD_4.4_4.0.2_HF03\eclipse\plugins:

Then you can compare if there is any relevant difference in our plugin installation.

If you do not find any important difference, I would recommend trying reinstalling EB Tresos, if you have not already.

Please let me know if you find any information that might help me narrow down the problem.

Following your suggestion, I did the comparison, here is the result:

The output for C:\EB\tresos27\plugins, there're loads of differences.

As for the output for C:\NXP\SW32G_RTD_4.4_4.0.2_HF03\eclipse\plugins, they are completely the same.

I will try reinstall the EB tresos on my end. Any updates I will let you know.

Unfortunately, I reinstalled EB tresos but the problem still persists. The issue is weird, I have decided to move on using Eth_43_PFE_TS_T40D11M14I0R0 for PFE configration.
