&lt;P&gt;Yes, the PCAL9722 supports interrupt functionality that can be configured by level or edge, and each interrupt can be cleared individually without affecting other interrupt events.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;For more details, please refer to Section 6.4.12 – Interrupt Edge Registers (60h to 65h) in the datasheet.&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;We are going to use Rotary incremental Encoder (&lt;STRONG&gt;Quadrature output&lt;/STRONG&gt;) via SPI to IO Expander.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;As Rotary Encoder requires Interrupt pin to interface, can you please Confirm whether it is possible to interface Rotary Encoder with&amp;nbsp;&lt;STRONG&gt;PCAL9722 &lt;/STRONG&gt;I/O Expander?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Does&amp;nbsp;PCAL9722 supports interrupt on Rising as well as falling edge?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks in advance!&lt;/P&gt;</description>
