an error occured when using sja1110 gPTP

Dear NXP fellows:

I am using S32G-VNP-RDB3 and Linux BSP 38.0

I have configured pfe0 to communicate with sja1110 port 4 through sgmii, and can ping. I want to synchronize the time between s32g and sja1110 through pfe0 and sja1110 port 4 interface.

Referring to the configuration of "gptp_sja1110x", I added gPTP statck on the "switch_config_s32g_vnp_rdb" and configured gptp. Finally, I compiled and generated flash_image.bin, renamed it to sja1110_uc.bin, and copied it to /lib/firmware.

But an error occurred, as follows:

Checking the logs you added it seems that the problems is only the loading and not the gPTP configuration. Please check the jumpers in J198 and ensure the following configuration:

I have confirmed that the configuration of J189 is correct. The configuration of rdb3 booting from sd card is also correct.

I tested it again. When I directly compiled "switch_config_s32g_vnp_rdb" without any modification and loaded it, there was no error“

From the logs I can see that the download was actually completed, please see this part:

if you check sja1110_init.h#L53, which is the module in charge of loading the firmware you can see the following:

The status is completed (0x36) and there is no error (0x5B=91). I am assuming you are using the Yocto build, in that setup, you can modify the patch in: .../sources/meta-alb/recipes-kernel/sja1110/sja1110/0001-s32g274a-rdb2-Add-support-for-S32G-VNP-RDB2.patch and add COMPLETED as a correct state, in here:

after that you can test if the functionalities related to the SJA1110 still work correctly.
