MC33664 Not Transmitting TPL

Hello,

I am currently using an STM32 to interface with the MC33664 and testing to see if it is able to communicate over TPL.

My current setup involves a STM32 Nucleo board, and the FRDM33664BEVB eval board, using jumper wires to connect SPI, EN, and INTB between the two. As there isn't an adequate datasheet that covers startup sequence, communication sequence, etc, I'm using the source code provided online and reverse engineering it to fit the STM32.

I have validated all wake up sequences (EN with INTB response, and CSB bit flipping) and timing requirements, but when I attempt to transmit a message, I get no response on the TPL side.

Yellow is CS/NSS, Blue is TX_CLK, Red is TPL+, Green is TX_DATA(MOSI). I'm not sure what part of the process I'm missing... any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Andrew

1:You should make correct connection for MC33664 with MCU which you can refer to below picture,and pay attention to use MISO replce MOSI_1

In the EVB also need mark the signals for full info you can down load FRDM33664BEVBUG.pdf and MC33664 datasheet:

I have looked through all of the documentation, everything is wired up correctly. I have followed the wakeup procedures as in the source code. However, when I try to send SPI data to the transceiver, there is no response on the RDTX+/RDTX- pins. There is no activity at all, despite the correct SPI message transmission as shown in the scope shot above.

Do you have an explanation as to why this might be? If I send a standard SPI frame (CS low, data bits into DATA_TX pin, CLK_TX at the desired frequency), should I expect activity on the RDTX+/RDTX- pins? Is there some other function that needs to be performed, other than holding EN high (which it is already held at)?
