linux login not available in debug terminal

Hi,

I've built a linux image for imx8 board using yocto.

the linux works without any issues in the hardware. But I am not able to login to the system with a debug terminal from my linux pc using gtk terminal.

all other debug information up to boot and from shutdown to poweroff are coming in the gtk terminal, but the login prompt is not shown.

any suggestions as to why this is happening or how can i solve this ?

Hello,

Connect your mx8 to the terminal and see if this works since we running console by default.

thanks for the reply,

i've booted the imx8 with the os and connected it to the gtk terminal.

i get debug updates upto the login but not the login option.

then it shows the updates while being powered down
