&lt;P&gt;Thanks for your question, it is &lt;STRONG&gt;confirmed&lt;/STRONG&gt; that Overdrive mode is &lt;STRONG&gt;normal&lt;/STRONG&gt; as shown in our datasheet, please note make sure &lt;STRONG&gt;external&lt;/STRONG&gt; PMIC can works well during this period.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;No any official way, actully it depends on different dedicated applications.&amp;nbsp;If you want to consider the power consumption or use internal chip power , you need to make some optimizations.&lt;/P&gt;

      <title>overdrive mode on iMXRT1176</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hello all,&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;regarding the overdrive mode for the M7 Core described in the datasheet&lt;A href="https://www.nxp.com/docs/en/data-sheet/IMXRT1170CEC.pdf" target="_self"&gt; page 28&lt;/A&gt; of the i.MX RT1176 I wanted to ask if there is a recommended way of booting the chip.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;CONTEXT:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;As for our BSP in our company we do this in a more inelegant manner initializing all the clocks including the core core in overdrive and after that then we do adapt the RUN-Mode-voltage for VDD_SOC_IN through an external PMIC.&amp;nbsp; We did not observe any problems untilll now, but still I would like to ask again, what would be the official recommended way - if there is any -&amp;nbsp; and if the way we do it does disturb somehow the further operation of the chip?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks for helping me out!&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Kind regards,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Isaac L.
