Hi, @chen_jackcw

I am not sure which product you are considering. But for LE audio products, we have specific webpage to introduce our LE audio products. I suggest you consider our NXP products in the below link:

Bluetooth® LE Audio

And we can say that there is only firmware differences between different products which support or not support BLE audio. For sure, some products which support BLE audio also have hardware differences.

But if you have detailed product name, I can check internally for you whether we have near future plan to support BLE Audio.

Best regards,

Christine.

Hi Sir,

We are searching LE audio solution, but we have some confuses about the different chip. Some bluetooth chip can support BLE 5.x and others can support BLE 5.x and LE Audio.

I would like to know what the difference between chip with LE Audio and without it, firmware difference or hardware difference, if only firmware difference, whether NXP will plan new firmware to let BLE 5.x chip with LE audio support

Thanks

Jack

Hi Christine,

Now we are researching the Blutooth chip 88Q9098,

The spec. described that it support bluetooth 5.3, but I can't find any description about LE audio.

So I want to know if this is the hardware limitation or firmware limitation, if it related to firmware, if NXP will upgrade firmware to support LE audio later.

Thanks

Jack

Hi, @chen_jackcw

Thanks for your feedback.

Yes, you are right, on 88Q9098, we don't support BLE audio. And the reason not supported is due to lack of support in ASIC, it means HW limitations. If the antennas is not your limitation, and prefer to use on Automotive, you can think about 1*1 Wi-Fi 6+Bluetooth 5.2 Automotive solution chip:AW611.

Best regards,

Christine.
