I havnt found any msg in the datasheet ,I am not sure anyone on the family series mcu have not flexray module, Or ,someone of the series mcu include flexray module?

What is the diffence of flexray v3.0 and v2.1 ? And Is flexray v3.0 compatible with v2.1?We can designed the board base v3.0 ,and communication with the v2.1 nodes?

Hi everybody:

We want to designed a product about flexray bus communication, and we want to chose the mfr4310 for the main controller and the mcu MPC5125 for config the mfr4310, but there is a question : we need two cold startup nodes, does the mfr4310 can config two keyslot,or not? should we use two mfr4310?OR there have some soc whitch contain 2 flexray channels??Hope someone can provide suggestions!! THANKS!!!!

THE MFR4310 datasheet about feature describe: "Internal channel A and FlexRay Port A can be configured to be connected to physical FlexRay channel A or physical FlexRay channel B " ,is it means we can config two keyslot? one is connected to Internal channel A and the other is connected to FlexRay Port A? we just want one node be a auxiliary node to wakeup and syn the bus.

Hi @xudb

MFR4310 is in End Of Life status, it is not available anymore. So, we do not support new designs.I recommend to select a microcontroller with in-built Flexray module.

Regards,

Take a look at https://community.nxp.com/t5/MPC5xxx/Two-keyslot-setting/m-p/852425

An option is MPC57xx family or devices like S32G, S32R or preproduction S32E and S32Z. But based on provided information, MPC57xx should be better option, mentioned S32 devices have unnecessary features.

Regards,

I am currently using two MC9S12XF512 chips configured as coldstart nodes to wake up an MFR4310 for FlexRay communication. All other parameters are configured identically, following the same protocol, FlexRay 2.1. Why can't they wake up the MFR4310? Can they communicate successfully? Are there any incompatibilities?

I want the official website routine of Freescale's MFR4310 chip to implement FlexRay communication. Where can I find it?
