How to create a proper Blob Image for S32R45 and make it work ok

Hi,

According to https://community.nxp.com/t5/S32-Design-Studio-Knowledge-Base/HOWTO-Use-IVT-Tool-To-Create-A-Blob-Im..., i want to creat a Blob Image for S32R45, the Blob image contains a project "Siul2_Port_ToggleLed_S32R45_M7", which can make LED0 to flashes on S32R45 EVB.

the linker file is as follows:

the RAM parameters:

Then, i Click 'Export Blob Image' and create a bin file.

When i download the Blob Image to flash, and power restart, the LED0 no response.

How should i do to make it ok?

PS: If you have a demo of IVT or Blod Image, can you share it to me?

I have tried according to guide, but it's still not ok.

Additionally, do you have a demo for Blob image file or project, and can I refer to it? I don't have a Blob image(such as helloworld or led) that can be download to flash and start from flash normally after power on.

Hi Peter,

I find the demo project in RTD don't have a complete IVT image.

When I import a demo project in RTD to S32DS(sucn as uart or led), i create a Blob image, and download it to flash, the evb No response(uart no output, or led no twinkle).

Can you share a operational and compiled Blod iamge such as helloworld?

Sorry, the document only tells them how to generate a blob image from the bin file, rather than showing how to make an image according to the document.

For the R45 Blob image demo, it may take some time to prepare.

Here is the update on the issue:

HOWTO: Use IVT Tool To Create A Blob Image S32R45 - NXP Community I also tried to do the same test, and the result also failed. That is, the customer's problem is repeated.

Analysis conclusion: R45 QSPI boot up demo may need to modify the default link file. This week is busy with other important projects and support, and will update the status in 7 days.

Thank you very much for your reply!

I have solved the issue. The way is as follows:

1. modify the link file, this can make the size of bin file smaller.;

2. configure the address on IVT, the address of "RAM start pointer" is the origin address of int_sram in link file, and the address of "RAM entry pointer" is the address of VTABLE in map file.

3. export boot code image, and export Blob image, the Blob image can work normally.

If you have a more elegant solution, i wish you can share it.
