Hello,

I would like to know what does its mean 'External VDDD...' ? For my It's always external supply, either by the low dropout voltage regulators (LDO) or either by a battery or either by stabilized supply. So why mention that : External VDDD required for new designs. What exactly is this new designs

by opposition external is internal what is the internal assembly ? Thank you for your helps.

Hello Yann,

please refer to the Errata attached. The VDDD can also be left floating and then it will be supplied internally from SGTL5000 internal regulator, but as described sometime the internal regulators doesn't start-up, therefore VDDD is required to be supplied externally.

Great post and thank you for sharing. I was considering that option and found this post so changed my opinion.
