MFRC522 reader not reading NTAG213?

Hi all,

I have been provided with 3 different tags: one a coin sized disk with a detatchable strap, one an integrated soft plastic wrist band, and one "paper sticker" type tag. I believe I am using a MFRC522 reader and can read the sticker and the coin tags, but not the integrated wristband.

The integrated wrist band just gives nothing - no tag present. I can use an app on the phone to get data on the tags and that reports either MIFARE ULTRALIGHT or NTAG213 for all three. Any guidance on how to debug this?

The integrated wrist band is quite sensitive with the phone but the MFRC522 is more robust than the phone in general so I don't think it is a weak signal or power issue.

I would suggest you check the logs and see if some error messages reported. Or you can double check with MFRD710 reader .

MFRD710 reader is a design based on MFRC523 contactless reader IC, and it supports the entire MIFARE and NTAG production portfolio.
