NFCのトピックCLRC66303 - Reducing Transmission Power

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,

we are using the CLRC66303 chipset and we want to reduce the transmission power.

We cleared the Cwmax bit and set_cw_amplitude value (TxAmp) to 3 (-1000mV). This does not changed the power consumption of the reader nor does it reduce the output voltage on the Tx1 pin.

Questions:

1. Are our assumption wrong, that set_cw_amplitude should change the transmission amplitude?

2. What is purpose of set_cw_amplitude?

3. Are there any other possibilities of reducing power?

Best Regards

Stefan

Hi @stefanmueller ,

The set_cw_amplitude value (TxAmp) does adjust the transmission amplitude, please see my test result from CLEV6630B board with Cockpit 5.8. The probe takes place right after the EMC filter.

set_cw_amplitude = 0

set_cw_amplitude = 3

If the power is still a little bit high, you may try to tune the antenna with a higher impedance.

Hope that helps,

Have a great day,
Kan
