Hi,

Are there any software knobs to increase the read range of a PN7150 when a tag is placed near it? We are seeing a lot of fluctuation between different types of tags and were wondering what optimizations we can make? For instance, we don't need high bitrates, so is there a way to reduce that to get longer range?

Hello,

Could you please help me check this application note?

https://www.nxp.com/docs/en/application-note/AN11757.pdf

Every tag and smartcard have a different current to be used , the device does not have DPC , maybe you can check as well your antenna tuning and verify if there is something to improve.

Regards,

Estephania

Update: we are getting good scanning range on NTAG216 based cards (60+mm). However, we're seeing very poor read range on MIFARE Classic and DESFIRE v1/v2 cards (20mm). Any ideas on how to debug this? We are confused why it would be so different between these card types. Thank you!
