Hi,

We have suggested our customer who wants to build an NFC reader to use PN7150 in their new design. Now they want to know if this PN7150 is NFC certified?

We visited NFC Forum and its link to "Certified Products >> Universal Devices"

https://nfc-forum.org/our-work/compliance/certification-program/certification-register/#1503950057189-eea69b78-2662

There are lots of NXP NFC products inside, such as PN7462AU and PN5180 (see below), but not PN7150.

Also after googling, we can find an news relate to this as "with preinstalled certified NFC software stacks.",

Can you tell us the PN7150 status, if it is NFC certified? Or choose PN7462 instead? But the cost is different.

Regards,

Benjamin

Hello,

The PN7150 is same HW than PN548. It is indeed not listed in NFC Forum-certified product but the fact PN548 is listed ensures NFC compliant device can be built from PN7150.

Regards,
Estephania

Hi Estephania,

Thanks for your information.

Yes, we can see PN548C2 on the list. But it is for "NFC Forum Device Requirements 1.3", not the same as "Certification Release 8" as PN7462 AU or PN5180 listed.

We think this will cause trouble when we face the customer's design RFQ.

Is there any plan for NXP to do NFC certification for PN7150? What's the schedule?

Regards,

Benjamin
