Can the "HP Module with NXP NFC Controller NPC100" be utilized to read RFID?

We use the HP laptop 645 G3. It comes with the NXP NFC Controller NPC100. I have been able to use this to do NFC to NFC device communication. I am wondering if this controller can read RFID from a badge, or other RFID device?
