You need to install the "NFC Ideas" app first: &lt;A class="link-titled" href="https://itunes.apple.com/nl/app/nfc-ideas/id970195453?mt=8" title="https://itunes.apple.com/nl/app/nfc-ideas/id970195453?mt=8"&gt;Nfc Ideas in de App Store&lt;/A&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Than, when you want to read an NFC tag, make sure you have started the NFC Ideas app. Use this one for reading the tag.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Apple announced to support reading NFC from iPhone 7 and up, having iOS 11 and up. Nevertheless, I feel the usage is limited:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;1) You need to use a specific app to be able to read the NFC tag.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;2) If you read a URL from NFC, this app is able to open a browser and bring up the web page. But if you have scripted something on the NFC (like connect to WiFi), it will not be able to execute that.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I hope this will change soon.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
