We are interested in using NFC technology to tag future clothing drops as a way for consumers to authenticate and protect from counterfeits.

I understand we can send each NFC tag to a designated URL, but we want to prevent counterfeiters from programming a chip to point to the same authentication URL.

After some research it looks like using a dedicated chip like NTAG424 DNA with a tamper feature and a public/private key associated with our server might be the way.

I don't think you can use NFC Tools to program the chip properly with this feature.

With classic chips like NTAG213, you can send the chip UID in the URL to check on the server side but the problem is someone can find the correct address.

My question -- do you have the chips and tools to help accomplish what we want to do?

If so, what would we need in terms of hardware, chips, readers, etc. to get started?

Hello @305

MFEV730 recommends to you, you can order it from PEGODA Contactless Smart Card Reader | NXP Semiconductors, which includes reader and NTAG424DNA sample

Besides, you also neend to request sw186658(RFID Discover v5.8), but which is avaialble under an NDA.

So, if you install RFID Discover v5.8 and order MFEV730, then you can get started.

Thanks @KaiLi

So I would need to order this reader:

https://www.nxp.com/part/MFEV730

And what is the NDA thing? Not sure what that means.

Any resources that fully explain how we would set all this up, where to get chips, assign each to a specific URL and make sure only that chip can go there?
