Hi,

There is no specific tool or device I could recommend. Which method to use is up the customers based on their needs, and considering CLRC663/PN5180 characteristics and parameters described in their corresponding Data Sheet.

Hi,

I would like to measure the current consumption ITVDD of RFID chips such as CLRC663 or PN5180. The proposed idea is that we can turn on the RF and measure the output voltage of the current sense amplifier. Is the solution reasonable?

Thanks,

Heng

Hello @hengma

Hope you are doing well.

ITVDD can be measured between the source and TVDD pin. If you are using the OM26630FDK Dev Kit or the OM25180FDK Dev Kit, you can use jumper J300 to measure ITVDD.

Regards,
Eduardo.

Hi Eduardo,

Thanks for your response, however, in real user cases, we can not use an amp meter to measure the current consumption. The solution in the AN11022 is for the engineering development process. We would like to have a more user-friendly way to measure the current consumption of the CLRC633. Can we use a current sensing amplifier such as INA181 and measure the current consumption when RF is on? m

Thanks,

Heng
