Dear Sir,

We have a NFC reader product would like to use PN5190 chipset. May i know how to setup PN5190 target current without using Nxp cockpit software ?

According to datasheet , NXP request user to edit EEPROM 0xF9:DPC_Targetcurrent, but i can't found any EEPORM setting is related to this EEPROM address in datasheet.

May i know how to edit the target current without using cockpit ?

Thank you

with regards

David

Thanks for contacting us and using the NXP products.

Based on your description, I think what you want to check should be in chapter 9.26 of the datasheet.

Dear TechSupport,

I tried to edit this EEPROM but i found that the current does not follow this current limit

Example:

-THe default setting of this EEPROM is 0x0032 (50mA)
-Acutal Current reading via True RMS mulitimeter (200mA)

afte that
I adjust the EEPROM from 50mA to 150mA, but the current meter still got 200mA result and the filed stregth keep same.

May i know how to adjust the target current actually ?
I am using latest firmware V3.0 already

Did you test under DPC mode? or could you share with us how did you test the current?

Dear Sir,

I measured the current via True RMS multimeter and read the register 0x56 from PN5190 .

That's the information i would like to know, how to setup a current limit with DPC and without DPC. Since my product is not EMV product and the l , this product not suitable use Cockpit calibration method ,

May I know Which register and EEPROM should i adjust ? and the Procedure ?

Thank you

with regards
David

It's recommended that you can watch this video, you will be very clear about the DPC feature.
