To eTPU part:

First I would recommend to read general response I have recently answered on our community:

https://community.freescale.com/thread/371589

Here you can example procedure how to use eTPU PWM function, step by step:

http://cache.freescale.com/files/soft_dev_tools/doc/app_note/AN4687.pdf

To eMIOS part:

eMIOS functionality should be understandable from reference manual.

I am attaching example showing you half of the task that is IPWM function (for duty cycle measurement) - note this is not my code, no warranty.

For period measurement you would then use IPM function.

Also I would recommend taking a look on EB651, chapters 2.1 and 2.2:

http://cache.freescale.com/files/32bit/doc/app_note/EB651.pdf
