Hello,

We are currently using the MPC5602 device for ongoing programs. But we are shifting to MPC5605 and/or MPC5606B due to memory requirements.

So are these two devices( MPC5602 and MPC5605) are compatible from SW point of view ? Means may I use the old SW (MPC5602) on the new device MPC5605 ?

Thanks,

Dipak

First it would be needed to check whether you are using MPC5602B or MPC5602D.

Basically there are 4 different sub-familes where slight differences may exist but all these devices are very similar:

- MPC5602/3/4B and MPC5602/3/4C

- MPC5601/2D

- MPC5605/6/7BF

- MPC5605/6BK

I could recommend to see following documents: http://cache.nxp.com/files/32bit/doc/app_note/AN4036.pdf

http://cache.nxp.com/files/microcontrollers/doc/app_note/AN4477.pdf

http://cache.nxp.com/files/32bit/doc/app_note/AN4093.pdf
