I'm struggling myself with the CAN on a TRK-MPC5634 board. What I figured out so far, is that I need an external power supply (9-12V) and that the MC33903 needs to be set in DBG mode with a jumper (J5). Still I get nothing on the DB9 (CAN-H and CAN-L remain to 0V)

I emailed tech support about this issue and they said J5 needs to be installed and J4 needs to be removed (debug mode). Also, whenever I set the switch to the "on" position, the SBC starts getting very hot, which is concerning me.

Solved it: J1 needed to be connected 5-6.

And the CAN is working now? How do you check it?

I've attached a PEAK-USB interface and I always get a BUSHEAVY message ...

THE EVB is clearly terminated and I've put a 120Ohm resistor on the PEAK side.
