MPC5748G modes selection RUN0-RUN3, DRUN

Hi All,

Currently i started working with MPC5748G LCEVB.

I want run my application code for FlexCAN0 in core0 and other piece of code in core1 independently.

Can anyone please help me for below questions.

1. I would like to know when to use multi cores for MPC5748G controller?

2. In which scenario we have to use mode DRUN?

3. In which scenario we have to use modes RUN0-RUN3?

4. Shall we use core0 in DRUN and core1 in modes RUN0-RUN3?

Hi,

1. I would like to know when to use multi cores for MPC5748G controller?

When you need more performance than single core offers. Otherwise you should go with single core as each active core has significant current consumption.

2. In which scenario we have to use mode DRUN?

Usually DRUN is used for initialization of device - DRUN = default run

3. In which scenario we have to use modes RUN0-RUN3?

For application execution

4. Shall we use core0 in DRUN and core1 in modes RUN0-RUN3?

No, there is only one mode entry module and selected mode is common for all cores.
