topic FLEXCAN max baudrate in MCUXpresso SDK

Hi,

I'm using the MIMXRT1064-EVK. Looks like the default baudrate for the CANFD is set to 2 Mbps in the demo example. Can someone tell me:

1)What is the max baudrate supported by this eval kit?

2)Can that max baudrate be achieved simply by setting the flexcanConfig.baudRateFD in the example code? or is there more to it?

Thank you.

Hi sean bzd

FlexCan Module (without FD) goes hand in hand with the CAN standard 2.0 which is programmable bit rate up to 1 Mb/sec. The FlexCan module with FD support implements the CAN protocol according to the ISO 11898-1 standard and CAN 2.0 B which is 8 Mb/sec.

This max baud rate should be achievable but you need to verify the clock source and the possible dividers and multiplier.

Hope this information could help you.
Have a great day,
TIC

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Note:
- If this post answers your question, please click the "Mark Correct" button.
