MCUXpresso v. 10.3.1_2233 IDE errors when attempting to import SDK_2.5.0_EVK-MIMX8MM.

MCUXpresso v. 10.3.1_2233 IDE errors when attempting to import SDK_2.5.0_EVK-MIMX8MM. I tried loading a different SDK (SDK_2.5.0_EVK-MIMRT1015) and it worked just fine. Is there any solution to this? Perhaps a minor change to a manifest file will correct this issue?

Looks like the xml entries in the manifest file do not mention MCUXPRESSO. Comparing with other sdks the manifest mention this as a tool chain. This is the likely cause.

Ok it looks like i need to use a different tool/IDE the documentation state "except MCUXpresso"

the MCUpresso IDE doesn't support imx8 series SDK, only supports GCC ARM or IAR

Yeah I know. I just a shame that we put some code up on something called " nxp MCUXPRESSO sdk" and it doesn't work on the "mcu Expresso ide". You have to admit that is a little confusing. I mean maybe we could still allow the sdk to be imported but...oh wait just a second...use a different compiler tool chain such as gcc...shocking
