issue with LPC-Link2

I was trying to run the hello world project and it has been built with no errors. I used Tera Term to connect to the debug interface serial port. However, when I tried to debug the program it showed the message "No compatible probes available. They may be disabled, disconnected, not powered , already in use or not compatible with this target". I am using iMX RT 1062 from Embedded artists and LPC-Link2 debug probe from NXP. I have attached some photos of the message and setup. Can you please help?

Hi,

I hope you are doing great.

It seems that your PC is not detecting your device. I recommend updating the LPC Link 2 firmware

This is a little tutorial of how to program the LPC51U69 with the LPC link 2.

Instructions to update firmware:
Disconnect JP1 from the LPC-Link 2
Connect the board
Download LPCScrypt. Link: LPCScrypt v2.1.1
In the windows, command console goes where you save the LPCScrypt and navigate to the scripts folder. There’re are two possible firmware to update: program CMSIS and program JLink

After executing this script, if it’s successful the window should be as the image attached.

Unplug the board and connect again the JP1.

After that, you could use the LPC Link 2 as a debugger normally.

Hello,

Thank you for your response. I have attached a file to show all the steps I have followed and the error message that I received. When I posted the previous problem I got connected to serial port using Tera Term but now the cursor was blinking and no message that says LPC_OK.

Hi,

I have been checking the document. In this specific case, the LPC Link 2 is working as expected. This development kit is part of the Embedded Artists, I recommend to look at the https://www.embeddedartists.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/11/iMX_RT1062_Developers_Kit_Users_Guide.pdf

I am not sure if you have the jumper JP2, however, the document could provide more guides about how to enter into debug mode using this evaluation kit.

Make sure the debug probe does not have a fixed output voltage, but rather follow Vcc/Vref.
If using LPC-Link2 as debug interface, make sure there is NO jumper inserted in JP2 (on the
LPC-Link2)
