Problem with MCUConfig V6

I am having the same difficulty with MCUConfig V6 [6.0.0.201905210938] as stated in this thread. V5 works fine (supplied with MCUXpresso 10.3).

The thread is VERY long. I am having difficulty trying to understand what the solution was to this problem.

Also, I cannot find the com.nxp.restapi.server for MCUxpresso to change https to http, which seems to be the solution, but not sure.

I am using MCUConfig via the 'Mex' button in MCUXpresso V11. I did not install MCUConfig separately.

I have moved to Version 11.0 of MCUXpresso. Version 11 fixes development problems from 10.3 I really want fixed.

[BTW, the 'Attach' button is easy to see when asking a question. It is buried when responding. Please make 'attach' a top level button in reply, if at all possible. It took me several tries, finally an explicit question to find the attach button in reply. This is the reason for the VERY long thread referenced above.]

Hello Keith,

in case you use IDE, locate mcuxpressoide.ini file inside the installation e.g. for IDE 11 c:\nxp\MCUXpressoIDE_11.0.0_2516\ide\mcuxpressoide.ini and add this line at the very end

-Dcom.nxp.restapi.server=http://mcuxpresso.nxp.com

this configuration is not explicitly mentioned in the ini file in case of IDE, still can be overrided.

Ad attach button: yes, it is everything but intuitive.

Keith, I unfortunately haven't encountered this issue with MEX files. However, I concur, there should be a more easily accessible "add attachment" button when composing replies. That other thread is nearly unreadable because of all the embedded text files.

It is NOT intuitive to click "Use advanced editor" just to gain access to a button to add an attachment. I've been confused by this in the past. Please consider adding an "Add attachment" button to the reply editor. I realize modifying the forum reply widget may not be possible; in that case, strongly consider adding a line of text somewhere on the screen during the reply process, which reads:

Select "Use advanced editor" if you need to add attachments to your reply.

Hi David,

not sure if I wrote it in proper English. I meant the attach can be called anyhow, but it cannot be called intuitive. So I absolutely agree with you. Unfortunately our team is not the owner of the forum, but we'll raise a ticket for improving this.

Yes, the update stated above to the ini file corrects my problem running MCUConfig from V 11.0 of MCUxpresso.
