I'm using JN5189 Development kit. I'm Trying to run JN-AN1246 but getting this Error

Windows is limited to a command line length of 8k characters - which yours seems to exceed. This is a Windows limitation and not MCUXpresso. You need to shorten the names of your directories...

To confirm what @converse said: your command line is definitely >8k, so you need to shorten it.

What you can do is to use the 'subst' command and create a virtual drive which results in shorter command line length.

But I don't think that problem lies in the length of 8k characters as I followed the the provided Document JN-AN1260 to use JN-AN-1246. All the directories names are already set in SDK and example code and locations of IDE SDK and Workspace are set according to the document.

subst is a windows command (google for it).

There is a registry key you could use.

Its not a problem of path character size all the paths are set in makefile of example and all the locations are set according to the Document. Im also running JN5169 Example on beyond studio with greater path character size and its work.

Your path length is too long. You can choose to believe it, or not, that is up to you. Good luck in finding your own solution.

I posted the whole compiling stuff but single file path is

"../../../../../SDKPackages/JN5189DK6/middleware/wireless/zigbee/SerialMAC/Include"

and its not out of limit. even as suggested to short the path length I tried that too with subst command.

Figured out the problem

problem was of Tool chain location in makefile.

changed TOOLCHAIN_DIR_PATH = ../../../../../MCUXpressoIDE_11.3.0_5737/ide/tools

TOOLCHAIN_DIR_PATH = ../../../../../MCUXpressoIDE_11.4.0_6237/ide/tools.
