I cannot start debugging due to Debug Probe missing on LPC812MAX board

I am using MCUXpressoIDE_10.3.1_2233 and installed SDK_2.x_LPCXpresso812MAX Sdk Ver.2.6.0 Manif Ver. 3.4.0 with LPCXpresso812MAX FVB OM13055.

The project is the sample project _led_blinkly provided within SDK 2.6.

Of course, it can be built successfully.

However, [Debug] select causes

1. "unable to find dfu-util" message shows.

2. "no compatible probe available" shows.

3. Printer and Devices shows "MBED CMSIS-DAP" but not started

Like that, I cannot start load program to MCU nor start debugging.

By same IDE and PC environment, I made build and debugging for Kinetis successfully.

Please advice how to solve this..

Hello Masato Nishimoto,

- Please install the newer debugger firmware to your board refer to the below thread:

Flashing and Installing the new firmware and drivers for LPC11U35 debug probes

- If you still want to use MBED, Certain mbed boards require a serial port driver to be recognised and this one exception
must be installed separately for each board. The driver is linked from Help -> Additional
Resources -> MBED Serial Port Driver Website

Thank you for your advice.

However,only to update LPC11U35 firmware could not help this.

I found that \nxp\MCUXpressoIDE_10.3.1_2233\ide\plugins\com.nxp.mcuxpresso.tools.bin.win32_10.3.1.201902111813\binaries

includes NOTHING other than Flash. power, Scripts, , ToolScripts.

If I may use next version of MCUXpresso, but next one was ver 11.0 and it does not work on 32 environment.

..So, I copied other files which are included in older version to this version.

Do you agree that MCUXpressoIDE_10.3.1_2233 still have same problem and my repair for hat?

Thank you for your advice.

However, only update firmware LPC11U35 did not help to solve this.

I found that

\MCUXpressoIDE_10.3.1_2233\ide\plugins\com.nxp.mcuxpresso.tools.bin.win32_10.3.1.201902111813\binaries

did not include any files othe than Flash, power, Scripts, ToolScripts.

If I might use MCUXprresso 11.0,this problem was solved. however new version did not work 32 environments.

So, I copied all files from older version and it was solved.

Can you agree that Ver 10.3.1_2233 have such problem and my solution is correct?

Sorry I havn't 32 bits PC, and I checked my MCUXpressoIDE_10.3.1_2233 on 64 bits,

under \nxp\MCUXpressoIDE_10.3.1_2233\ide\plugins\com.nxp.mcuxpresso.tools.bin.win32_10.3.1.201902111813\binaries includes more files other than Flash. power, Scripts, , ToolScripts.

I think there is no problem you add these files by hand.

SDK 2.6.0 requires MCUXpresso IDE v11.0.0 or later. And manually copying files from older IDE releases into an v11.0.0 install is definitely not supported or recommended !!!
