topic CAN support for i.MX RT1024 in Model-Based Design Toolbox (MBDT)

Regarding the Matlab IMXRT1xxx MBDToolbox v1.3.0 and Matlab 2021b:
According to the document "Model_Based_Design_Toolbox_IMXRT_Series_Release_Notes.pdf" (v1.3.0) CAN is supported for i.MX RT 102x derivatives, however in Simulink, in the Hardware Implementation -> Target Hardware resources no settings are possible and a greyed-out text box states "This peripheral is not supported in this toolbox version". How can we integrate CAN communication into our projects using the MBDToolbox? When adding a CAN block (with appropriate configuration in Xpresso) a previously working model does not compile any more (see attached screenshots)
