Does MPC5744P only support DMA in transferring data from one address to another or it can be used also to transfer data from a data store to another?

I tried to choose the source input and destination input as variables in the eDMA transfer block many times, but it didn't work.

in other words can I use the eDMA transfer block to transfer a data from an array to another using MPC5744P
